How to upgrade TP-LINK Range Extender:

- Downloaded the firmware and use decompression software to extract the firmware file to a folder;
- Do NOT turn off the power or cut down the Ethernet cable during upgrade process;
- Do NOT upgrade the firmware via wireless connection unless the device only has wireless connection;
- Please write down all the settings which you changed from the default values, since you may need to reenter them manually.
- Log into the TP-LINK device by typing http://tplinkrepeater.net/ in the address bar of the web browser (such as Internet Explorer). The username and password are both admin unless you have changed it before.
- Click System Tools Firmware Upgrade, click the Browse button to choose the firmware you already extracted in the folder.
- Click the Upgrade button. The device will reboot automatically after the upgrading has been finished. Please wait about 3 minutes.
- Click Status, verify that the device’s firmware has been upgraded.
- Check the status page of your device. if necessary, please re-enter or reconfigure the device manually with the parameters you have written down before upgrading.
