Sony Matsushita SW-5582 Blu-ray Drive Firmware B101 Description

This utility updates the Matsushita SW-5582 BD (Blu-ray Disc) Multi Drive firmware to version B101 to resolve the following issues:

- Some disc drives cannot read DVD-RW discs recorded in VR (Video Recording) format on Matsushita SW-5582 drives with older firmware.
- The Matsushita SW-5582 drive may not be able to read some TDK BD-R/BD-RE discs.

Important Notes:

- Do not allow the computer to go into standby or hibernate mode during the firmware update.
- Do not power off the computer during the firmware update.
- Do not log-off during the firmware update.
- During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
