Intel Extreme Tuning Utility 4.1.0.12 for Windows 7/Windows 8 Description

Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) is a simple Windows-based performance tuning software for novice and experienced enthusiasts to overclock, monitor, and stress a system. The software interface exposes a set of robust capabilities common in most enthusiast platforms along with special new features available on new Intel processors and motherboards.

New Features:

- Installation and platform support for 4th-generation Intel Core processor families.
- Supports run time processor graphics changes to voltage and ratio limits.
- Implementation of power limit controls via MMIO for improved overclocking.
- New benchmarking support allows scoring for various system snapshot profiles. Feature is supported for 3rd and 4th generation Intel Core processors only.
- Profiles can be uploaded to HWBOT.org for purposes of sharing, analyzing (comparing against other system platforms) or competing in overclocking competitions. Feature is supported for 3rd and 4th generation Intel Core processors only.
- Profiles can also be imported or exported from HWBOT.org or between peers.

Known Issues:

- XTU exposes graphics controls when there is no tunable device available or if the graphics driver is not installed. Tuning these controls should not result in any change to the system.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
