1) Supported:
- The driver is now Package Aware
2) Fixed:
- After configuring the settings of the driver from within certain applications, a protection fault error message will appear and the settings will not be reflected when a job is printed. This issue only exists in the 64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.
- On 64 bit operating systems, the driver's pop-up dialogue pops up behind the active window.
- When printing a job with the Duplex, Resolution, Paper Type, or Input Tray setting configured in an application, the specified setting that was configured is ignored.
- Missing characters might occur if the font contains a large amount of bitmap data.
- When printing a booklet with a custom paper size and specific paper type, the first page of the printed result is a blank page.
-If two drivers that are installed on a Windows XP machine contain the same rc4manNT.dll files but each file is a different version (one is v5.2.7.7 or later and the other is before v5.2.7.7), the Printer Properties might fail to open and an error with exception code 0xc0000005 might occur.- Printing in Black and White mode is slow.
- Unwanted lines added to Office 2007 jobs.
- Booklet jobs of 2GB or more are garbled.
- Driver file grows in size if the driver is uninstalled and re-installed multiple times.
- When the driver is reinstalled it creates an additional instance of an existing registry key instead of just re-using it. Each time the driver is re-installed a new key is added to the registry.
- Bars missing when the bar code font MRVCode128M is included in a PDF.
- The Frutiger 55 Roman font's Euro character is not printed.- Unable to authenticate user names consisting of extended
-ASCII characters. Jobs submitted with such credentials failed authentication and were canceled.
3) Others:
- Improved performance when printing images that overlap text.
- Added CAT (Catalog) files which were released from Microsoft (WHQL)
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
