INSYS RSM Router Firmware 2.12.8 Description

Functional Enhancements:

- Web interface: New host name (appstart) for direct access to the Monitoring App (default: appstart.local)
- Web interface: Microsoft Edge browser support
- Firewall: Selective release of UDP port 4500 for NAT traversal in modes “activate” or “force”

Further Improvements:

- MoRoS Modem: Stability for Dial-In and Dial-Out connections with access to LAN devices-optimised
- Redundant WAN: Changeover optimised and link loss detection for LAN(ext) now also with device start
- EBW-L: VPN connection establishment with device restart optimised
- Messages: Detection of link loss and link up at LAN(ext) corrected (applies to MoRoS only)
- Sandbox: optimised memory handling for MoRoS and IMON
- Inputs: Pulse detection for MoRoS optimised
- MoRoS: accelerated initialisation of switch and external modem (RS232 port) with device restart
- ASCII configuration: Parameters “username” and “password” for OpenVPN client without “CR/LF” with download
- ASCII configuration: Parameter “direction” amended for WWAN firewall rules (applies to EBW-L100 only)
- ASCII configuration: Parameter “apply” for port forwarding rules effective for all entries

Important notes:

- If your device has a previous firmware version of at least 1.x.x this update cannot be used!
- If your device has a previous firmware version of at least 2.0.0 but before 2.3.0, an intermediate update step to 2.2.1, and then an intermediate update step to 2.6.2 must be performed before.
- If your device has a previous firmware version of at least 2.3.0 but before 2.6.0, an intermediate update step to 2.6.2 must be performed before.

Preconditions:

- Make sure nobody else is working on the web interface too!
- The power supply must not fail or be switched off in any case!
- We recommend to save the configuration first.

About Router Firmware:

Before you consider downloading this firmware, go to the system information page of the router and make sure that the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this release.
