- Use a USB2 thumb/pen-drive that in known to function with your Xtreamer media player. We recommend one no bigger than 2GB.
- Format the thumb/pen-drive to the FAT-32 file format system.
- Some HDMI display devices may not display an on-screen image (due to HDCP protocols). If so, please connect using the 'yellow' RCA/phono cables.
- Disconnect all external USB Wi-Fi dongles, USB hubs and USB HDD drives.
- Remove your internal HDD (if fitted).
- Disconnect RF antenna from the internal DVB-T module (if fitted).
1. Un-zip/Extract the Emergency ???????.zip file. This will reveal an install.img file.
2. Copy the install.img file to the root of the USB2 thumb/pen-drive (ie: not inside a folder).
3. nsert the thumb/pen-drive into one of the rear USB ports.
4. Disconnect the power from the Xtreamer media player and wait for 30 seconds.
5. Press the power button on the front of the Xtreamer media player and keep it pressed.Re-connect the power to the Xtreamer media player - with the power button still pressed. After a few seconds the emergency upgrade process should be visible on your display device (if the procedure has been performed correctly). Now you can release the power button.
6. After the "Emergency Recovery" installation procedure has finished, the Xtreamer media player should automatically perform a RESTORE DEFAULT (which will remove all your saved pre-sets). However, it is highly recommended that you also manually perform a mandatory RESTORE DEFAULT to completethe firmware installation.
