- Fixed: several problems in pitch wheel setup process when pitch wheel settings were not defaults (linear curve, 100% scale and 0 add).
- Fixed: Local Keyboard Channel now working properly for remotely selecting setups.
- Fixed: problem selecting Setups that were empty.
Features:
- New: Delete option added under the Save dialog.
Fixes/Improvements:
- Fixed: bug affecting FX in split/layer mode.
Features:
- New Load method: "Load [fill]?" - for use when loading PC3/LE/K series programs - loaded programs fill the User bank sequentially starting from the lowest available ID on upward, skipping any occupied locations.
Note: Only one file may be loaded at a time. The file may itself contain multiple programs. To load more than one file, separate "Load [fill]?" operations must be performed.
- Name change: "Load All?" renamed "Load [overwrite?]" - this function is used for loading back in memory backups (.SPX files) created using the "Save All?" function. Performing a "Load [overwrite?]" erases the User bank replacing its contents with that of the loaded file.
- Greatly improved ease of importing PC3/LE/K series programs. Previously several steps were required to get things to work. Now it is a straightforward procedure using the newly added "Load [fill]?" function (see above).
- Improved the translation accuracy of imported PC3/LE/K series programs.
- Fixed: a bug where manually ejecting the desktop PC/USB-Drive could make the drive unavailable and require a power cycle to regain access.
- Fixed: "Resetting" message now displayed while doing a hard reset.
- Improved handling of Global parameters saved across power cycles:
The parameters that are remembered now are: - Category favorites - Velocity Map (Touch) - Local keyboard channel (LclKbdChan) - Program change (ProgChg) - Bank select (BankSel) - Destination (Dest) - Channel 1-16 enable (Chan#) - FX select (FXSel) - Sysex ID (SysexID)
Fixes/Improvements:
- Fixed: bugs leading to potential system freezes on power up.
- Fixed: previously, during bootup, MIDI coming in or plugging in a MIDI cable would freeze the unit.
- Fixed bug with USB MIDI that, under particular circumstances, could cause a noticeable delay in playing the keyboard while being connected to a computer via USB.
- Fixed: under particular circumstances the unit was not getting detected as a USB-MIDI device.
- Fixed: very rare occurrence of "missed pedal events".
- Fixed: stuck note bug where Note Offs were ignored when the keyboard was suddenly used to select a key (for eg. when choosing a split key)
- Fixed: was crashing when a MIDI connected PC3 was powered on.
- Fixed: demo was starting in response to MIDI start.
Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.
On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop. However, bear in mind that applying an older firmware isn’t recommended and might not always be possible.
When it comes to the update steps, due to the large variety of devices and numerous ways for installing a new firmware, it is recommended that you carefully read and understand the upgrade steps, and consider applying a different firmware only when you have familiarized yourself with the update method.
As the installation process is most of the times quite risky, this step should be taken by users that have the ability to successfully complete the update; regular users may initiate it at their own risk. Moreover, it’s best that this task be performed in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit.
Therefore, if you consider applying this release, hit the download button, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and update the device’s firmware. Also make sure you constantly check with our website to ensure that you don’t miss a single new release.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
