TP-Link TD-W8968v4 Router Firmware 151229 Description

New features/Enhancement:

- Added switch for TR69 enable/disable.
- Added Arp Binding function(Advanced -->Security-->ARP Binding).
- Increased the Pre_share key length from 15 to 255 in IPsec VPN.
- Added Firewall switch in ppp connection.
- Added Iran in wireless country option.

Bug Fixed:

- Fixed the bug when setting PPPoEL2TPPPTP password with 31 special characters in Quick Setup ,the WAN configuration shows error.
- Fixed the bug that it fails when setting 32 characters password for L2TP/PPTP dial up.

Please note:

- Please verify the hardware version of your device for the firmware version. Wrong firmware upgrade may damage your device and void the warranty. (Normally V1.x=V1)
- Do NOT turn off the power during upgrade.
- Do NOT upgrade the firmware through wireless connection unless the device only has wireless connection;
- It's recommended that users stop all Internet applications on the computer, or simply disconnect Internet line from the device before upgrade.

Installation Procedure:

- Log into the ADSL Modem Router by typing http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox). The User Name and Password are both admin unless you have changed it before.
- Click Management ->Update Software, click the Browse button to choose the firmware you already extracted in the folder.
- Click the Update Firmware button. The device will reboot automatically after the upgrading has been finished. Please wait about 3 minutes.
- Click Device Info->Summary, verify that the router’s firmware has been upgraded.
- It is recommended that restoring the device to factory default to make the new functions take effect; Click Management->Settings->Restore Default, Click Restore Default Settings Button.
- After restoring factory default, please login http://192.168.1.1 and re-enter the settings you have written down before upgrading.

About Router Firmware:
