Intel S2600CW Server Board EFI Firmware 01.01.0005 Description

Versions:

- System BIOS - R01.01.0005
- ME Firmware - 03.00.07.114
- BMC Firmware - 01.07.6909
- FRUSDR - 1.02

Update Procedure:

- Unzip the contents of the update package and copy all files to a folder on a USB flash drive
- Insert the USB flash drive to any available USB port on the server system to be updated
- Boot the Server to the uEFI shell. This can be accessed via the <F2> BIOS setup utility during POST or via the <F6> Boot Menu accessed during POST.
- Run the command "map -r" in the uEFI shell to mount the USB flash drive
- Run the command "fs0:" to change folders to the USB flash drive. The USB flash drive may also mount to fs1: depending on other installed devices. The number of "fs#" is dependent on the result of command "map -r"
- Change folders to the folder holding the update package files
- Run the "Startup.nsh" script file to start updating all the firmware and BIOS updates
- The FRUSDR utility must be run separately after the rest of the software stack has been updated, and after the the system has been rebooted. Follow the on-screen instructions provided while running the STARTUP.NSH script file.

NOTE:

- The System BIOS update process in this package will update both the primary and secondary (BIOS Backup) images of the BIOS.
- The secondary image will automatically load after after the primary BIOS has been loaded and the system is rebooted.
- During the first system reboot, while the secondary BIOS is being updated, the display screen will be blank for approximately 60- 90 seconds.
- Do NOT power off or reboot the system during this time.
- When the update is finished, a "BIOS Update Complete" message will be displayed and the system will resume its normal POST process.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
