ATI Catalyst Hotfix 10.3 for XP Description

Symptoms

:
"No compatible hardware found" error message when attempting to install the ATI Catalyst Drivers directly from the AMD Download Home Page for the ATI Radeon HD 4000, ATI Radeon HD 3000 or ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series of AGP video cards.

All published AMD drivers have passed Microsoft's WHQL certification tests. A WHQL driver for ATI Radeon HD 4000, ATI Radeon HD 3000 or ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series of AGP products is not currently available.

Resolution:

This hotfix resolves the following issues:

- Fix for problems with DirectX and ATI Radeon HD 4000, ATI Radeon HD 3000 or ATI Radeon HD 2000 Series of AGP Graphics cards.
- Fix for "No compatible hardware not found" error message.
Note: This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above.

The issue applies to the following products:
- Graphics Cards:
ATI Radeon HD4xxx series of AGP products
ATI Radeon HD3xxx series of AGP products
ATI Radeon HD2xxx series of AGP products

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
