ASUS Z97-E/USB3.1 Intel Rapid Start Driver 4.0.0.1068 Description

Changes:

- Fixed icon status on task bar is not correct with actual Off state if registry DisableCriticalBatteryWakeControl is set to 1, turn off Rapid Start and save through GUI. And then click on the icon of taskbar, then icon would be displayed to On incorrectly.

This package contains the files needed for installing the Rapid Start driver for ASUS Z97-E/USB3.1 motherboards. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified.

Interactive Installation:

- Run the installation program Setup.exe in administrator mode.
- Select the Setup.exe application
- Right-click over Setup.exe and select "Run as Administrator.
- The program automatically installs the software onto the target system, prompting the user for input as needed.

Silent Installation:

- Run "Setup.exe -s" from the command line in administrator mode.
- Click on the "Start" button/Windows button in the taskbar.
- Click on "All Programs."
- Click on "Accessories."
- Right-click over "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator.
- Navigate to the folder where Setup.exe resides.
- Run "Setup.exe -s" to silently install the software.

Uninstalling the Software:

- The software may be uninstalled through the Control Panel using the "Program and Features" applet
- Click on the "Start" button/Windows button in the taskbar.
- Click on "Control Panel."
- In the Control Panel, click on the link to "Uninstall a program."
- Double-click the "Intel Rapid Start Technology" item
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the software
- Reboot may be required
