Sony SEL24F18Z Lens Firmware 02 Description

Benefits and improvements:

- Enables "Fast Hybrid AF" function. Without this lens update, the camera will use the normal contrast-detection AF even if Fast Hybrid AF is selected.

Important notes:

- When performing the system software update, please use a fully charged rechargeable battery pack NP-FW50 or the AC adaptor AC-PW20
- Do not remove the battery pack or AC adaptor during the update; otherwise, the camera may become inoperable due to the sudden power shutdown
- Remove the memory card from the camera beforehand
- You cannot perform the system software update using another camera.
- This system software update can only be performed when the lens is attached to a camera which has "Fast Hybrid AF" function.
- Please make sure to attach the lens to the camera before performing the system software update.
- Before you attach the lens to the camera, please make sure to turn off the camera.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
