Panasonic DMC-GH4 Camera Firmware 2.6 Description

Changes:

- When the camera is used with the Battery Grip, an error message pops up if the remaining power of the battery in the Battery Grip is low.
- With a use of Panasonic H-RS100400(LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR 100-400mm / F4.0-6.3 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S.) or some Olympus interchangeable lenses, the monitor blacks out when the user tries consecutive shooting in manual mode in AFC setting.

Update Procedure:

- Charge the battery fully.
- Make sure to turn off the power switch.
- Insert the fully charged battery to the body.
- Save and unzip the downloadable package.
- Transfer the content onto a formatted SD memory card.
- Insert the Card into the camera body and make sure that an HDMI cable is not connected between DMW-YAGH interface unit and DMC-GH4 camera body.
- Turn on the power switch.
- Press the Play button to enter the Play mode.
- After the message of "PLEASE WAIT ..." is displayed, a display will continuously be shown on the LCD.
- If newer version or same version of firmware has already been installed, the initial setup screen will not be displayed. And the lens will display that "NO VALID PICTURE TO PLAY". Please turn off your camera and use the camera as is.
- Press [(Left Cursor button)] to select the [Yes]. The update process will start.
- The camera body will start the update process.
- The firmware update will take about 5 minutes.
- Please do not attempt the following operations before completion.
- The green bar increases the level by the process.
- Once the firmware update process is completed, the camera dody will turn off the power and turn on again then it will be initial mode automatically.
- Turn off the power switch.
- Remove the SD memory card.

Important Notes:

- Do not turn the power off and on
- Do not press any buttons
- Do not open the SD memory card compartment
- Do not remove the SD memory card
- Do not remove the lens.
