Sony PRS-T1 eBook Reader Firmware Update Utility 1.0.07.05070 Description

This utility updates the PRS-T1 firmware to version 1.0.07.05070 which addresses the following issues:

- The "Reader Store" icon and link is replaced with the "Kobo Store" icon and link to enable direct access to the Kobo eBook Store via Wi-Fi connection.

Improvements provided by previous software versions and included in version 1.0.07.05070:

- Unable to login to the Reader Store
- Removal of Google Books (dependent on Country / Region setting) as it is no longer supported via the Reader Store
- Resolves an issue where using a very short page flick to turn a page may accidentally select words and start the dictionary lookup
- Improves touch panel functionality
- Improves stability when searching the dictionary
- Improves Internet connectivity
- Improves Digital Rights Management (DRM) contents compatibility
- Resolves an issue where the Reader is unable to download some e-book files

IMPORTANT:

- This file is only for use with the models identified. Not all models are sold in all countries.
- This utility is for compatible Windows operating systems only.
- The Sony Reader must be fully charged before installing this update. Failure to fully charge the Reader before installing the firmware update may cause the Reader to be unresponsive or to require repair.
- The software update process takes about 6 to 8 minutes.
- During the installation of this file, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
- To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
- It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
