Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver (RAID) for Desktop Boards 11.6.0.1030 Description

Fixes:

- A warning message can’t be cleared by press ESC in UEFI RST OROM page
- BIOS RAID SETUP item is not removed if user unloads the RST UEFI driver.
- UEFI RST Driver Returns Incorrect Status Code For ReadBlocks() when wrong MediaID is sent.
- Siler OROM drive recognition on refresh intermittent
- CLI returns success after failing to delete metadata with SRT enabled
- Status page and Create button not properly updating upon hot plug of drives
- WHQL: 0x7E BSOD during boot on ICH9M (BLOCKING)
- APS HW bug in CPT and PPT which needs RST workaround
- RST11.6 UI shows that the version number is 11.5
- PC freeze and sometimes BSoD occur after resuming from sleep.
- boot volume identifiers modifications to meet MSFT activation requirements
- ATA PassThrough commands READ DMA 256 Sector and READ DMA EXT 256 Sector fail
- Optical Drive will auto-eject after system resumes from Standby with SSD HD
- HDD Device name shows wrong in device manager after enabling Acceleration via RST UI

- IAStorDataSvc has a memory leak and freezes/hangs the system.
- AOAC: Black screen w/mouse curser after SDR0 with reboot
- Cannot format SandForce controller drives under Win8
- If unallocated space is >=18.6 GB and <19GB the default custom-cache size will disallow acceleration
- Master HDD status shows failed in RST UI when it is hot-unplugged in OS.
- RST does not return the Read Disc Information command.
- ZPODD: Drive went to sleep but should have stayed awake
- IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe CPU utilization continues to stay at >0.6% during idle
- The metadata cannot be deleted by the following 11.5 rstcli32/64 command
- Recovery disk goes offline in Disk Management after clicking Access recover disk file link.
- HDD Device name shows wrong in device manager after enable Acceleration via RST
- System hang and BSOD with Shock sensor test program.
- iaStorA should protect itself in handling IOCTLs from user space
- BSOD after trying to create ANY RAID volume through the RST UI
- Sometimes ODD cannot eject via ROXIO creator.
- Cache mode will NOT be retained if write-caching is disabled via device manager and then change mode to max
- Some drives may not be correctly identified as OS flushing disabled due to serial number discrepancy
- IAStorUI crashes when we elect to preserve data on a >2TB disk that has a partition on it.
- RST UI fails to create ANY Create Volume From Disk RAID volume in Legacy mode that needs to be truncated to 2 TB
- Some ODDs will disappear under My Computer after they system enters asleep state and resumes

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
