This utility installs an updated version of the VAIO Update software to provide the following improvements and resolve the following issues:

- The VAIO Update application may become unresponsive
- The computer system is no longer able to Logoff, Restart, or Shutdown during the installation of a patch
- The install utility menu is hidden behind the VAIO Update application
- No updates are shown when using a proxy
- Improves the performance of the VAIO Update application
- Adds the Self-repair functionality
- Text within the application may appear to be cut off
- Notifies the Windows Store App of updates in the VAIO Update application
- Improves compatibility with the operating system
- The VAIO Update user interface may become corrupted if the Windows display size is set to large
- Installation process of VAIO Update may be interrupted by Kaspersky Internet Security software
- Updates the User Interface for VAIO Update
- Allows the computer to run updates when using battery power
