- Download the file onto your local hard disk.
- Ensure that your Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Transmitter is connected to your computer.
- Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset is removed from your computer.
- Uncompress the downloaded file to a folder in your local hard disk.
- Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_TX_1_59_140721.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- After the installation of the firmware is completed, unplug and plug in your transmitter and start pairing with the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless headset again.
Please ensure your device is connected during installation. Do not unplug your device until full installation completes. Do not restart your PC during the firmware upgrade. Do not use a USB hub for installation.
- Plug in the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset directly to your computer. Do not connect it to a USB hub.
- Power on the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage Wireless Headset.
- Ensure that the Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB Wireless Transmitter is removed from your computer.
- Double-click <SBTR_PCFW_US_RX_1_58_121101.exe> from the folder which stores the uncompressed files.
- Click Upgrade.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- Click Close to end the firmware upgrade.
- After installing the firmware, re-pair your headset and the USB wireless transmitter.
- Press and hold the Microphone Mute button on the headset for 3 seconds. The connect LED will begin to flash rapidly.
- Press and hold the Connect button on the USB wireless transmitter for 3 seconds. The Connect LED on the transmitter will begin to flash rapidly.
- When the headset and the transmitter are paired, the Connect LED on both devices will stop flashing and stabilize.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
