Peplink Pepwave MAX HD4 Router Firmware 6.1.2 Description

New Features:

Pepmin Remote WebUI Access
- Use InControl 2 to access your device’s Web Admin interface, even if the device is in a private network. This feature enables on-demand, secure access to your device from anywhere.

Bonjour Forwarding
- Peplink and Pepwave devices can forward Bonjour broadcasts through VLAN connections. This enables you to use AirPlay, AirPrint, and other Apple services with devices on different networks.
- Navigation: Network > LAN > (?) button to enable VLAN > Bonjour forwarding settings at the bottom of the screen

Bandwidth Allowance for Redundant SIM
- You can determine the bandwidth limit for each individual SIM card. Once the usage limit for a SIM card has been reached, the router will automatically connect using the redundant SIM card.
- Navigation: Dashboard > Connection Details > Cellular Settings

GPS Forwarding
- GPS reports can be sent (in NMEA or TAIP format) to a server you define.
- Navigation: Advanced > GPS Forwarding.

Fixes:

- Remote syslog messages over PepVPN use LAN IP
- Upon pressing “Apply Changes”, the Web Admin may not jump back to the Dashboard page
- PepVPN connection may be lost intermittently during the route exchange process
- When configuring the “Send All traffic to” option under the PepVPN configuration screen, the “DNS Server” field underneath does not function
- For devices with built-in AP, WPA may not work if the passphrase contains the $ character
- OpenSSL has released a fix to address the "CCS Injection" vulnerability (CVE-2014-0224). We have applied this fix to Firmware 6.1.2

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
