- If the power is turned off within 5 seconds after modifying a parameter or during store/recall of a scene, backup of data is interrupted and in some cases internal data may be corrupted. In such cases with previous versions, when the power is turned on, an error message such as "Resume Data Lost! Recall a Scene!" (indicating a scene recall attempt has failed) was displayed, and a scene recall operation by the user was required. In this version the last scene used before turning off the power is recalled automatically, and operation by the user is unnecessary.
- Fixed a problem in which even if [Display Log Buffer Full Message] in the "Log Setup" dialog box of DME Designer was unchecked; the "Log Buffer Full" message would be shown on the unit's display.
- If the IP address of the DME device is changed after the device has been synchronized with DME Designer, it will be necessary to re-transfer the configuration data by performing a “Full Resync” operation to ensure proper operation of GPI control, MIDI control, Remote control, and DME Designer meter display functions.
- “Full Resync” can be initiated by clicking the [Go On-line] button (found in the Synchronization window of DME Designer) while holding down the [Ctrl] key.
- The hardware specification for DME Firmware V3.5x or earlier differs from the one for Firmware V3.8x or later (including V4.0). Therefore firmware V3.5x or earlier cannot be upgraded to V3.81 or later. Also, firmware V3.81 or later cannot be downgraded to V3.5x or earlier. (This does not apply to the SP2060 or ICP1.) If you need to upgrade your DME from V3.5x or earlier to V3.81 or later (including V4.0), please contact your Yamaha dealer.
- It is needless to change the DME hardware when you need to upgrade/downgrade between V3.8x and V4.00 or later. Please download the required firmware version from our download page and update your DME by using DME Designer.
- Save an up-to-date DME project file (.daf). Don't update unless an up-to-date ".daf" file has already been saved on your computer. Without the ".daf" file, you will not be able to restore DME operation.
- DME Designer V4 cannot design/control the system that consists of DME Firmware V3 units or the mixed system with Firmware V3 and V4 units. It is required to unify the system version to V3 or V4 by upgrading/downgrading DME Designer or firmware.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
