VIDEO PLAYBACK
• Sound can now be heard from the external monitor after selecting the monitor as the playback device in the Windows
Sound control panel.
• Resolved issue where sound may not be heard after waking the computer from Sleep state.
• Resolved issue where flickering and noise may be seen in video transcoded to MP4 format.

GAMES

• Solitaire and Pinball FX2 Metro App games: Resolved corruption seen after rebooting the computer twice with an HDMI
cable connected.
• Solitaire game: Resolved corruption and slow gameplay seen after resuming the computer from Hibernate state.
• Lost Planet 2 game no longer crashes while loading.
• Mafia 2 game no longer crashes after launch in DirectX 9 mode on Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500
• Resolved flickering issue seen while playing a DVD movie after waking the computer from Sleep state.
• Crysis 2 game no longer crashes during startup.
• Rage game no longer hangs in first scene on 64-bit operating system
• Far Cry 2 game no longer unexpectedly exits to the Windows desktop.

DISPLAY

• Using three displays with the Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500, displays no longer overlap in the Multiple Displays Positioning
area of the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel after changing from Clone to Extended Desktop mode.
• With a Dell U2711 display connected, the correct resolution is shown after changing from the laptop display, to the Dell
display, then back to the laptop display.
• Computer no longer crashes or hangs after connecting a DisplayPort monitor.
• Sound is no longer delayed about 5 seconds after changing to the laptop display with an HDMI or DisplayPort display
connected.
• System no longer crashes after switching display modes (Single Display, Clone, or Extended Desktop) with an HDMI monitor.

OTHER

• Driver no longer stops working if an add-in video card is installed.
• Resolutions listed in Windows and in the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel now match.
• A brief flash of corruption is no longer seen while computer is resuming from Hibernate state.
• PCMark 7 application no longer hangs in the video playback and transcoding phase of the performance test.

KNOWN ISSUES IN DRIVER VERSION 2770

Below are issues seen with this graphics driver when installed on Windows 8 Release Preview Build 8400.
Note: Intel Wireless Display is not supported in this driver

VIDEO PLAYBACK

- Windows Media Player application: Corruption may be seen in video playback after changing the display resolution.
- Windows Media Player application: The video brightness may quickly increase/decrease while another video plays in another application.
- Windows Media Player application may crash when trying to play a .ts video file.
- Vertical lines may be seen while playing a Blu-ray movie after switching the primary and secondary display.
- Stereoscopic 3D movie plays in 2D and flickers when Windows 8 video player and Windows 7 video player applications are opened simultaneously
- Opening the Windows Task Manager window while playing a Blu-ray movie may cause the screen to go black.
Playing certain YouTube video clips in Full Screen or Large player mode causes Microsoft Internet Explorer to stop
working.
- Error: “Your system is not compatible with HDCP, BD playback is disabled.(ErrorCode=2002)” may be seen while playing a Blu-ray movie on stereoscopic 3D displays in Clone configuration.

GAMES

Note: This is Beta software and performance with this driver may vary from a similar platform with a Windows 7 production
driver. Final production version of the driver for Windows 8 may have different performance
• Crysis Warhead game: A water-like haze is seen among buildings.
• Crysis game: The water surface is displayed overhead when not underwater.
• Bulletstorm game exhibits minor corruption when anti-aliasing is enabled.
• Sid Meier's Civilization V game: Flickering is seen when a city is selected.
• Metro 2033 game: Corruption seen during game play.

OTHER

• 3DMark 11 application: Hangs after continuous operation.• LuxMark benchmark: Corruption/red dots are seen when running the LuxBall test.
• Display Configuration shown in Windows does not match with that shown in the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel
• 3DMarkVantage: Corruption maybe seen in some scenes when running benchmark in 'Entry' mode.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
