Below are issues seen with this graphics driver when installed on Windows 8 Consumer Preview Build 8250.
- Windows Media Player application: Corruption maybe seen in video playback after changing the display resolution and audio continues to progress when playback is slowed or stopped.
- Jittering may be seen while playing a Blu-ray movie with certain media applications.
- Far Cry 2 game unexpectedly exits to the Windows desktop
- Mafia 2 game crashes after launch in DirectX 9 mode on Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500
- Bulletstorm game exhibits minor corruption
- Lost Planet 2 game crashes while loading
- Rage game hangs in first scene
- Driver stops working if an add-in video card is installed.
- System may crash or hang after connecting a DisplayPort monitor.
- Corruption seen momentarily while Windows loads after resuming system from Hibernation
- Windows overlap when trying to change from Clone to Extended Desktop in three display configuration on Intel HD Graphics 4000/2500.
- 3DMark11 application: Hangs after continuous operation.
- FurMark application displays error message.
- System crashes when using an Intel Wireless Display connected via analog.
- Blank screen is seen after disabling the Intel HD Graphics driver in Windows Device Manager
- System may crash after switching display modes (Single Display, Clone, or Extended Desktop) with an HDMI monitor.
- Resolutions listed in Windows and in the Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel do not match.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
