AMD FirePro/Radeon Pro Graphics Driver 17.10 64-bit Description

Radeon Pro graphics empower content creators and designers at many levels, from casual makers and students all the way up to seasoned professionals and enterprise workstation users. Radeon Pro Software is certified in over 100 workstation applications covering the leading software professionals use, including Autodesk AutoCAD, Dassault CATIA, Siemens NX, Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Maya and many more.

Radeon Pro Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10 continues AMD's mandate to provide professionals support for the latest software and technologies. With new support for Radeon Software drivers, professional users can swap between their professional and gaming drivers for the optimal experience.

NOTE:

- This driver contains the “Driver Options” feature that allows the user to install a professional driver and up to 2 gaming drivers on their platform while using the supported products. Driver Options must be installed using the Custom Install option.
- If you have an existing AMD driver installed, do NOT use Clean Install under Custom Install. Otherwise, Driver Options cannot be enabled.
- You can manually uninstall any existing graphics driver, then perform a Custom Install OR click Install rather than Clean Install under Custom Install.​

The following features are not supported on Radeon Pro WX 9100 graphics hardware:

- Pack Pixel with 10-bit Support
- Multi-GPU Single Large Surface
- CrossFire Pro
- Display Overlap
- Serial Digital Interface

Fixed Issues

- Infrequent hangs have been observed during wake from sleep and resume states.
- With 10 bit displays, users may encounter anomalies in display results.
- Users may encounter Bluray playback issues on PowerDVD after switching to Game Mode.
- During sleep and resume, a user may experience a TDR when instant replay is enabled.

Known Issues

- Unexpected behavior running 3DMark Firestrike with multiple 4k displays.
- Certain application profiles are not created automatically.
- Observations that FloExpress animation not running in SOLIDWORKS 2016 on some workstation platforms.
- UI Elements may appear distorted in 3dsMax 2015.
- The user may experience unexpected behavior creating 4x1 or 6x1 Eyefinity display configurations with 5K displays.
- Unexpected behavior when creating 10-bit Eyefinity display configurations with 5 or 6 displays
- User may encounter missing/incorrect gaming driver version number when installing and switching between gaming and professional drivers.
- When switching between Pro Mode and Gaming Mode, Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDRs) have been observed with multiple display configurations.
- When numerous displays are used, there is an unlikely event where the driver does not complete installation.
- During sleep and resume, after multiple instances, a blue screen hang has been observed.
- Intermittent stuttering has been observed with Unigine Heaven in extreme cases.
- When using 8K displays, occasional situations with no display have been observed during sleep and resume.
- When resume from sleep, OpenGL applications have experienced TDRs.
- When rendering using Blender cycles, users may encounter infrequent iterations of poor performance.
- On Z170 chipsets, users may experience infrequent hangs from sleep states. Frequency may depend on system configuration.
- In extreme cases with stressful applications, the user may experience performance throttling in thermally stressful situations.
- When running express install with multiple GPUs installed, the user may experience anomalies, including unexpected system reboots.

ISV Certification Notes

- Due to Maya-MtoA software issue Trac #3142, some Viewport Draw modes for stand-ins draw an infinite line. Workaround is to toggle the Viewport Draw Mode of the stand-in in the Attribute Editor.
- Maya 2017/2018 may show gray patch in playback in certain models due Maya issue Maya 41945. Workaround is to click on a different frame on timeline or to click on first frame.

NOTE:

- This driver is not intended for use on Radeon products running in Apple Boot Camp platforms. Users of these platforms should contact their system manufacturer for driver support.
- When installing this driver for the Microsoft Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator, or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of Radeon Pro Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.10.​
