Install Driver AutomaticallyDevice Name | Buffalo TS5600D NAS Firmware 2.60 for Mac OS |
---|---|
Category | Hdd Ssd Nas Usb Flash |
Manufacturer | Buffalo |
File Size | 443.1 MB |
Supported OS | Mac |
- Uploading files larger than 5 GB is now supported.
- Modified formatting for drives with LVM enabled is not available. To format drives with LVM, disable LVM first.
- VAAI (compatible with VMWare vSphere 5.0 or later) is now supported.
- File I/O and block I/O are now selectable from "Backstore" in Settings. File I/O volumes access the iSCSI LUN as a file. Using file I/O enables iSCSI I/O operations to use write-back caching to the NAS buffer cache (server-side write caching) via the next option in this list (if desired), which increases speed. Block I/O accesses the LUN as a block device. The NAS buffer cache cannot be used by a LUN being accessed via block I/O.
- Added "File I/O Write Sync" when the LVM volume is working in file I/O mode
- Added "Thin Provisioning" when the LVM volume is working in file I/O mode
- IQN is now displayed in volume settings. Individual IQNs for each iSCSI volume are available in 'Drives'- 'iSCSI'.
- The default setting is now "Asynchronous". To change it to "Synchronous", go into "Advanced Settings" while creating volumes.
- An updated version of Samba is now used.
- The SMB2 protocol will be disabled after updating the firmware with external authentication enabled. If you cannot access the TeraStation after the firmware update, restart the computer.
- Removed the "Use Windows domain controller as authentication server" option from external authentication. This option will continue to work if it's configured before updating the firmware to version 2.50.
- Updated rsync and improved the reliability of backup operations.
- The following options are enabled by default when creating a backup job: 'Ignore backup errors and continue backup job on schedule' and 'Create backup log files'
- "Run Complete Resync" and "Run Differential Resync" buttons have been replaced by a single button in replication.
- The main TeraStation goes into maintenance mode when it shuts down. So, the backup TeraStation will not become the main device automatically when the main TeraStation shuts down. The main TeraStation will exit maintenance mode when it finishes rebooting if the backup TeraStation is available on the network.
- LAN port 2 is now available for data transfer if LAN port 1 is configured for failover.
- The backup TeraStation can now replace the main TeraStation manually if the main TeraStation has failed.
- Modified recovery from maintenance mode by pressing the function button.
- Added an option to sync the backup TeraStation from the main TeraStation's Settings while failover is configured.
- Unsynced data is now counted from Settings while failover is working.
- A log of replication activity is now available for export to a Syslog server.
- Volumes smaller than 200 GB, such as LVM volumes, cannot be configured as the target folder for surveillance cameras.
- Modified the timer settings for clarity. For example, "Every day" is now "Daily" and "27:00" is now "3:00 of the next day".
- Daily email reports now contain MAC addresses.
- WebAccess Remote and Amazon S3 are now available simultaneously. However, using the same shared target folder is required. Subfolders will be created for each function in the shared folder.
- Colons (:) in external DNS and IP address fields are now supported.
- Improved compatibility of Settings.
- The SMB path for Mac OS is now displayed when the initial setup wizard is finished.
