ASUS DSL-N12E (Ver.C1) Router Firmware 1.0.7.0 Description

Security related issues:

- Added notification to help avoid security risks.
- Modified descriptions of WiFi security.
- Fixed Network Tools pages vulnerability.
- Ensure http session indeed terminated once Logout.
- Remove cgi file from the unauthorized list. Now authorization needed.
- Fixed light httpd vulnerability.
- Fixed Network place(samba) and FTP vulnerability.
- Modified AiDisk setup wizard to prevent a potential security issue.
- Force changing FTP from anonymous to account mode after firmware upgraded.

New features, Enhancements and Bug fixes:

- Network map now will show notification when detected newer firmware available.
- Now Authentication Method supports HTTPS.
- Supports SIP Passthrough feature.
- Supports H.323 Passthrough feature.
- Fixed Guest Network after WiFi turn off then on, still remains to be off issue.
- Fixed WiFi turn off then system reboot, PIN code could not be obtained issue, which leads to ASUS DDNS service update failure.
- Fine tune GuestNetwork hint message when WiFi turn off.
- Now System login name do not allow most of special characters.
- Add re-try mechanism for retrieving IP of DDNS server.
- Fixed possible Virtual Server / Port Forwarding entry been added leads to abnormal system behavior issue.
- Fixed System log > General Log, log gets cleared issue.
- Fixed Internet connection lost, in some cases Internet LED still light up issue.
- Fixed service port range invalid validation in port forwarding page.
- Fixed remote access from WAN can not work issue, due to a PREROUTING rule is not added properly occasionally.
- Change default system boot up time to "Jan 1 00:00:00 GMT 2011".
- Fixed cannot Telnet to device from WAN side after setting port forwarding rule issue.
- Fixed Device Discovery utility related issue.
- ADSL WAN (ATM) QIS auto detection list updated.
- Fixed various AiDisk/Network place(samba)/FTP related issues.
- Fixed in some cases after change System login name/password then Download Master/Media Server cannot login issue.
- Fixed lighttpd-arp(for AiCloud) occupies 6x% of system memory in some cases issue, which caused by lighttpd-arp memory leak.
- Update AiCloud to v2.0.0.2.
- Update Smartsync to v1.0.0.6.
- Fixed WDS/WPS related issues.
- Fixed Realtek Switch VLAN partition error, which might leads to connection issue.
- Fixed Ethernet WAN transfer mode, Static IP WAN connection type in some cases after system reboot cannot boot up properly issue.

- Port Trigger - Trigger Port List(list limit:14)
- VPN Server - Username and Password(list limit:8)
- Virtual Server / Port Forwarding - Port Forwarding List(list limit:8)
- Route - Static Route List(list limit:10)
- Network Services Filter - Network Services Filter Table(list limit:8)
- URL Filter - URL Filter List(list limit:27)
- Wireless MAC Filter - MAC filter list(list limit:31)

DSL Feedback feature enhancement:

- Now includes ASUS Privacy Policy link and additional note.
- Add 'Extra information' field, including Syslog, Setting file, and Iptable setting options for debugging purpose(default unchecked).
- Comments / Suggestions textarea now supports up to 2000 characters.

ADSL WAN (ATM) QIS manual setting list updated:

- Add Greece ISP, Otenet - 24 adsl.
- Add Greece ISP, Forthnet - ADSL 24.
- Add United Kingdom ISP, Virgin Media - National (ADSL).
- Add Slovakia ISP, T-COM - František Fábry.
- Add Portugal ISP, CLIX - Optimus.
- Add Netherlands ISP, Telfort - Std.20Mb broadband.
- Add Belarus ISP, ByFly - Domosed Ultra.
- Add Norway ISP, Nextgentel - Bredband.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
