FiiO X5 3rd Gen Portable Player Firmware 1.1.6 Description

The following changes and improvements have been made to the FW1.1.6 compared to the FW1.1.5:

1. Added support for playing DSD files via Bluetooth;
2. Added online feedback function (FiiO Music->Settings->About app->Online feedback);
3. Fixed issue where the output amplitude would decrease when resuming playing after a pause while the player is connected to the K5;
4. Fixed issue where the Key-lock Settings would still take affect even when the screen is unlocked if the "Screen lock" (in Security settings) is set to None and the "Lockscreen album art" ( in FiiO Music) set to OFF;
5. Fixed issue where pressing the Previous Track button might not work as it should when playing in the "All songs" list;
6. Fixed issue where the playback will stop after deleting the currently playing song from the "All songs" list;
7. Fixed issue where clicking an album/artist in the search result would not lead you to the correct place if entering the search from the FiiO Music homepage;
8. Improved issue where some DSD tracks could not be supported;
9. Improved the sorting by added time function of the playlist;
10. Improved issue where the characters in some CUE sheets might be displayed incorrectly;
11. Improved issue where the characters in some ID3 tags might be displayed incorrectly;

Methods to Upgrading via TF card:

- Copy the zip update package into the root directory of a micro SD card in the X5 (or root directory of the X5's internal storage). In the case of putting into the microSD card, it is recommended to format the card to FAT32 or NTFS
- With the SD card in the X5, turn on the X5 in Android mode and select "Technical support"->”Firmware Update” ->Local Upgrade - > external_sd (or internal_sd if you put the file in internal storage) and select the zip update package. The following dialog appears:
- After clicking "OK", wait patiently and do not operate the X5. The X5 will automatically restart and enter firmware update mode.
- After the firmware upgrade is complete, the X5 will restart again in normal android mode for use.

Notes and precautions:

- If attempting upgrade using SD card, the SD card should be formatted in FAT32 or NTFS; if upgrade fails, try using a card of 32GB capacity or under, format it using the X5 (back up data on the card first), copy the zip update package file inside again and attempt upgrade again.
- If attempting upgrade using internal memory, there needs to be adequate free space (preferably over 1GB); copy the zip update package to the internal storage and select "internal_sd" for the upgrade.
- Do not push the X5's buttons while the upgrade is in progress.
