Intel Network Connections Software / Driver 22.1.102.0 Description

NDIS 6.2 introduced new RSS data structures and interfaces. Because of this, you cannot enable RSS on teams that contain a mix of adapters that support NDIS 6.2 RSS and adapters that do not. The e1e6232 driver does not support NDIS 6.2 RSS. If you team one of these devices with a device supported by another driver, the operating system will warn you about the RSS incompatibility.

This applies to the following devices:

- Intel PRO/1000 EB and EB1 Network Connections
- Intel PRO/1000 PF Network Connections and Adapters
- Intel PRO/1000 PT Network Connections and Adapters
- Intel Gigabit PT Quad Port Server ExpressModule
- Network Connections based on the Intel 82566 Controller
- Intel PRO/1000 PB Dual Port Server Connection
- Intel PRO/1000 PB Server Connection

Install the Intel Ethernet Adapter

Installing an Adapter

- Turn off the computer and unplug the power cord. If performing a "hot plug" install, see your server documentation first.
- Remove the computer cover and the adapter slot cover from the slot that matches your adapter. You may utilize a slot that is longer than your adapter’s connector with no harm, but do not attempt to install in a slot that is shorter than the connector.
- Firmly place the adapter into the slot and secure the bracket.
- Replace the computer cover. Plug in the power cord.

Installing a Mezzanine Card

- Turn off the computer and unplug the power cord.
- Remove the computer cover.
- Align the PCIe connector on the mezzanine board with the connector and four plastic standoffs on the motherboard.
- Press the adapter until it is fully inserted into the MB connector and snaps into the four standoffs.
- Replace the computer cover. Plug in the power cord.

About Ethernet Driver:

Windows platforms generally apply a generic driver that allows motherboards to recognize the Ethernet component.

However, in order to make use of all network card (adapter) features, you must install a proper LAN driver that enables the hardware. This task enables systems to connect to a network, as well as collect all component characteristics such as manufacturer and chipset.

If you intend to update the driver version, know that this process can add support for new OSes, fix different compatibility problems, resolve related errors encountered during the product’s lifetime, as well as include various other changes.

When it comes to the actual installation procedure, we should note that most producers try to make it as easy as possible, so following the steps should be a breeze: just get the downloadable package, run the setup, and follow the on-screen instructions.

There is a chance that other OSes could also be suitable, but it is not advisable that you install this release on platforms other than the specified ones. Remember to perform a system reboot once done, to allow all changes to take effect properly.

Therefore, if you wish to apply this version, click on the download button and enable your network card. To stay up to speed with the latest updates, check back with our website as often as possible.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
