D-Link DCS-6010L A3 IP Camera Firmware 1.15.03 Description

New Features:

1. Updated mydlink agent to v2.1.0-b04
2. Support UID feature
3. Add support new anti-brute force mechanism(block only IP, reset when successful login from one IP)
4. Update OpenSSL library to version 1.0.1t.
5. Add Chrome Bowser notify message.
6. Support TLS v1.1/1.2

Problems Fixed:

1. Fixed the Search Security Lab issue - stack-based buffer overflows were present in adduser.cgi.
2. Fixed D-Lab bug for "RTSP authentication on the DUT was disabled after load a configuration file that created in first formal firmware."

Installation steps:

1. Download the latest firmware file for your device.
2. Log into your device’s web interface.
- Open Internet Explorer, and browse to your cameras IP address. For example, if your cameras IP address is 192.168.0.100, in the address bar of your web browser type: http://192.168.0.100 .
- Enter your cameras username and password.
3. Click on Maintenance, then on Firmware Upgrade.
4: Click on Browse, select the downloaded firmware and then click the upload button.

Important notice:

- All firmware upgrades should be done over a WIRED connection. If your camera is currently configured wireless, plug it directly into your router before proceeding.
- Do not start or use other applications while upgrading your device’s firmware, and do not hit Stop, Back, or Reload in your web browser during the upgrade process.

About Network Camera Firmware Update:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your network camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty, or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.

Changing the camera’s firmware must be performed when the new release resolves an issue that your device has encountered or adds a new feature (or enhances an existing one) that could prove useful to you.

As for the installation method, the steps vary depending on the model you own, but basically, you must connect your camera via an Ethernet cable (username and password required), and use the downloadable file in the Firmware Update section to upgrade your device. Make sure you do not interrupt the installation process.

However, make sure you carefully read and understand the installation steps so that you don’t end up with a broken device. This process isn’t intended to be destructive, but still, it’s best to save all configurations before applying a different firmware.
