Motorola 2247-N8-10NA Gateway Firmware 9.1.1h0d34 Description

Firmware version 9.1.1h0d34 provides a new Graphical User Interface (GUI), which includes new and updated features.

New features include the following:

Default Server (DMZ) - Used to send all unsolicited inbound traffic to a specific device, such as a gaming console.
IP Passthrough - Allows the 2247-N8 to share it's public address with a specific device, thus allowing the device to bypass NAT (Network Address Translation).
Firewall - Basic firewall to allow or block inbound and outbound traffic.
Packet filter - Advanced firewall that can be configured to allow or block specific outbound or inbound traffic.
IPv6 connectivity - Used to connect to the Internet using IPv6, if the service provider supports this setup.
USB File System - Can be used to share files on a USB flash drive with the entire network 

The process to upgrade the 2247-N8 to version 9.1.1h0d34 includes installing two firmware files. First, an interim firmware version will need to be installed (9.0.1h2d13), and then the unit can be upgraded to firmware version 9.1.1h0d34.

3. Click the Upgrade button to start loading the new software image file to the 2247-N8. The Power light on the front panel of the 2247-N8 will flash red while the upgrade takes place.
IMPORTANT: Do not disconnect or turn off the power to the 2247-N8 during the software upgrade! If the upgrade is interrupted, the firmware image on the 2247-N8 may become corrupted and unrecoverable, making the 2247-N8 unable to start or re-attempt an upgrade. The installation of the new software may take a few minutes. Wait for the upgrade to complete. During this time, the Web management interface will display a repeating countdown.
4. Wait for the 2247-N8 to restart and load the new software. The Web management interface should re-initialize after the 2247-N8 restarts, and the “Home” page will show the new software image version number.
