Dell Latitude D830 Toshiba MK6037GSX SATA HDD Firmware A01 Description
An unknown input to the drive actuator positioning detection calculator caused an overflow condition and an 3K Hz oscillation or beep.
The new FW change has:
A limiter was added into the actuator positioning servo controller to prevent any overflow condition.
For Bootable CD option (no floppy available)
(PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
1. Click on the (R203530.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again.
2. Press "Continue" then "OK" to extract the files to the provided location.
3. If you have CD imaging software that supports the .ISO image format the file "C:DELLDriversR203530CD ImageToshiba Utility.ISO" is an image for a bootable CD that will automatically run the application.
4. Boot to the CD.
5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically.
6. The utility will update the appropiate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB.
7. Once completed, an "OK" message will be displayed.
8. Remove the CD
9. Power off your PC for 10 seconds.
10. Power on your PC to continue normal operation.
For Bootable Floppy option
(PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
1. Click on the (BR203530.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again.
2. Press "Continue" then "OK" to extract the files to the provided location.
3. You will be prompted to insert a floppy and press "Continue"
4. Restart your system with the bootable floppy inserted.
5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically.
6. The utility will update the appropiate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB.
7. Once completed, an "OK" message will be displayed.
8. Power off your PC for 10 seconds.
9. Remove the floppy and power on your PC to continue normal operation.
For Other Bootable option (IE. USB key, etc.)
(PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE)
1. Click on the (R203530.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again.
2. Press "Continue" then "OK" to extract the files to the provided location.
3. The files are located in "C:DELLDriversRR203530Files" directory.
4. Add the files to your bootable media and run the "Autoexec.bat".
5. The Toshiba utility will start automatically.
6. The utility will update the appropiate Toshiba MK6037GSX 60GB.
7. Once completed, an "OK" message will be displayed.
8. Remove your bootable media and power off your system for 10 seconds.
9. Power on your system to continue normal operation.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
