Dell Latitude C800 System BIOS A23 Description

** IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THIS RELEASE **

1. Windows 2000 users with systems equipped with ATI video
controllers must also download and install the A10 video driver
(R54215.EXE) when upgrading to this BIOS. Failure to do so may
prevent the LCD panel from to turning on when opening the lid
after suspending the system by closing the lid.

2. Windows ME users must also download and install the OS Update
utility for Windows ME (OSUPA00.EXE) when upgrading to this BIOS
version. Failure to do so may prevent the system or peripherals
from functioning properly.
The following updates were made to the A22 BIOS to create A23:

Enhancements:
1. Optimized the thermal control algorithm.

The BIOS release has been validated on the following operating systems:
1. Microsoft Windows 2000 ACPI
2. Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP5
3. Microsoft Windows XP

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
