D-Link DXS-3400-24TC rev.A1 Managed Switch Firmware 2.00.009 Description

New Features

1. The ACL supports VLAN list feature.
2. Improve the Stacking log design:
- When there is a topology or link change, system will keep a log with specific port or stacking interface (SIO1/2) information.
- Change the log severity of topology or link change event from 6(INFO) to 2(CRIT).
3. Modify the IP Source Guard (IPSG) behavior to allow user changing the IPSG’s ACL priority.
- When a host is allowed by IPSG, IPSG will create an ACL with the highest priority; When user created an ACL to manage the traffic of that host, due to the priority is lower than IPSG’s ACL priority, the user defined ACL will not work.
4. Modify the traceroute probe design:
- When switch receives response from the next hop, switch will stop sending the probe.
- When there’s no response from the next hot, switch will keep on sending the probe by 2 times.
5. Enlarge the character size of SNMP-server name from 64 to 255 and can accept hyphen, digits, letter, underline and dot characters.
6. Support SHA-2 and TLS1.2
7. The Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) can work with IPv6 Static Route.
8. The RIPng supports passive interface feature.
9. The Layer3 Control Packet Filtering feature now supports filtering OSPF, RIP and VRRP protocols.

About Switch Firmware:

Given the large variety of models and different methods for upgrading the switch, if you wish to apply this package, we recommend that you read and understand the installation steps before you install a new firmware, even if you are a power user.

Usually the update procedure isn’t much of a hassle as manufacturers try to make it as simple as possible; however, there are cases that are exceptions to this rule. First off, go to the system information page of the switch to check that the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this release.

Applying a new firmware can decrease the security vulnerabilities, enhance overall performance and compatibility, improve various power management functions, resolve different errors, and add support for newly developed technologies and protocols.

It is recommended that you perform this step in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit, and that you don’t interrupt the upgrade in any way, because this might cause the switch to malfunction.

That being said, click the download button, get and apply the new version, and check back with our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
