ATI WDM Driver Installation Overview
There are two phases that occur during the installation of the WDM driver that has been downloaded from the AMD WEB site. The first phase occurs when you run the 8-4_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_60999.exe file. This phase creates a temporary directory on the system disk and unpacks all the individual files that make up the software bundle.
In the second phase the SETUP program is launched from the temporary directory created in the first phase. SETUP installs the software (from the temporary directory) into the operating system.
ATI WDM Driver Installation Tips
You must download the 8-4_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_60999.exe file, and save it to a temporary directory on your systems hard disk. For example C:temp is a common directory used to initially save a file into. Once you have downloaded the file, follow these steps:

The individual files are unpacked and placed into a directory on your hard disk. The default path for this directory is C:ATIsupport. After copying the files to the hard disk the INSTALLATION program will launch automatically. At this time, You can choose to abort the INSTALL process if you wish. If you do abort the installation, no software will be installed.
