Release Notes:

New Features
- Upgraded OpenSSL version to improve security between client and server.

Issues Fixed

- Fixed an issue where the camera would go out of focus after reboot.
- Fixed an issue where configuring the camera to use a static IP address in the WebUI then back to DHCP would cause the camera to report the IP address in the wrong part of the ONVIF message.
- Fixed an issue where the camera WebUI misrepresented the saturations settings.
- Fixed an issue where the status bar was missing from some WebUI pages.
- Fixed an issue where Kanji characters in the camera name would corrupt the time zone settings.
- Fixed an issue where the NTP server would not revert to default settings when Restore

Defaults is executed in the WebUI

- Fixed an issue where triggering a digital output would prevent the user from applying changes to Digital Inputs and Outputs settings in the WebUI.
- Fixed an issue where the time zone and day light savings settings would not revert to default settings when Restore Defaults is executed in the WebUI.

Upgrading the Camera Firmware

To manually upgrade the camera’s firmware:
1. Download the latest version of the firmware .bin file
2. On the System page, browse and locate the downloaded firmware file.
3. Click Upgrade. Wait until the camera upgrade is complete.

About Network Camera Firmware:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your network camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty, or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.

Changing the camera’s firmware must be performed when the new release resolves an issue that your device has encountered or adds a new feature (or enhances an existing one) that could prove useful to you.

As for the installation method, the steps vary depending on the model you own, but basically, you must connect your camera via an Ethernet cable (username and password required), and use the downloadable file in the Firmware Update section to upgrade your device.
