Netgear FM114P Firmware 1.5 R13 Description
NETGEAR has been a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products since 1996. Our mission is to be the preferred customer-driven provider of innovative networking solutions for small businesses and homes.
This note describes enhancements and bug fixes incorporated in the release software version 1.5 Release 09. The enhancements and fixes are those added since software release version 1.4 Release 26.
NOTE: If upgrading from a version older than v1.3, you must first upgrade to v1.3, then to v1.5.
NOTE: You MUST clear the configuration after upgrading (either by using the default button on the rear panel or the Erase button in the Backup Settings menu) and reenter your configuration information manually.

Modifications and Bug Fixes
Release version 1.5r13
1. Fixed bug in saving of some settings to config file.
2. Fixed "Apply" button issue.
3. Now hides ngDDNS (Oray) password.
4. Allow ending port to be blank when setting port range for single port.
5. Setup Wizard now checks PPPOE before DHCP.
Release version 1.5r12
1. Fixed UI error when setting Lan IP.
2. Fixed DNS proxy issue.
3. Fixed DHCP range issue.
4. Remove the check for LAN DHCP range.
5. Fixed time loss issue - NTP now updates every 2 hours.
6. Now supports NTP server name, not just raw IP, for user-defined server.
7. Modified ngDDNS (Oray) UI, changed retry algorithm.
8. Use random port when connecting to DDNS.
9. Add DDNS status page and show ngDDNS update log.
10. Send email when log full, but don't send when select email-none.
11. Added DHCP server address on the WAN status page when wan is DHCP client.

13. Add DNS server listed on WAN status page when WAN is DHCP client.
14. Fixed the issue when the WAN gateway is same IP address as LAN (DSL modem).

Beta version 1506
1. Fixed: DNS cache caused LAN PC to get old IP for updated domain name.
2. Fixed: when "log always" selected, device only record the first policy's matching result.
3. Fixed: device getting time log will display duplicated week-day.
4. Fixed: when "NONE" selected on log email send page, log still sent when log is full.
5. Fixed: device records all packets even if "all incoming/outgoing" are not selected.
6. Fixed: MSN file transfer fail between v5 and v6.
7. Fixed: User-defined MTU cannot be saved.
8. Fixed: change password will get a "login fail, password error" log.
9. Add check that user defined service name should not contain "()&" characters.
10. Improve upgrade code.
11. Fixed: if refreshing a Website several times, device will think it is an attack and will block this computer.
12. Fixed: NULL URL will cause device hangup.
13. Fixed: if ping packet length longer than 1199 will get "request time out".
Resolving Known Issues
* If Print Server does not function after upgrade:
1. Go to LANIP menu.
2. Disable Print Server.
3. Click Apply.
4. Enable Print Server.
5. Click Apply.
* Logging is very verbose by default. As this may affect performance, you may want to turn off logging of items that are not of interest to you.
* If wireless connections fails after upgrade, go to Wireless menu, and click Apply.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
