Stealth Cam STC-GX45NG Camera Firmware 01.34.09 Description

Firmware Update:

Note: It is recommended to perform the firmware update using new batteries. Loss of battery power during the firmware update may cause the camera to be non-operational.
1. Unzip the GX45NGW (v01.34.09).zip file.
2. Once unzipped, place the Firmware Update File listed below onto a clean SD Card.
3. Place the SD Card into the SD Card slot of the camera.
4. Turn the camera to the ON position.
5. Press the MENU button.
6. Press the down arrow to select Advanced Settings then press ENTER.
7. Press the down arrow to select Software Upgrade then press ENTER.
8. Press the up arrow to select Yes then press ENTER.
9. The update process will begin and takes approximately 1 minute to complete. The screen will display FW UPDATE during the update.
Warning: Do not turn camera off or eject battery tray during the firmware update process. Loss of power to the camera may cause damage.
10. After the update process is complete, the LCD screen backlight will turn off and the screen text will be removed from the screen.
11. Slide the switch to the OFF position and eject the battery pack from the camera.
12. Wait 5 seconds before re-inserting the battery pack.
13. Re-insert the battery pack and move the switch to the TEST position.
14. The screen will display the FW Versions below.

About Camera Firmware:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.
