Allen & Heat dLive DM32 Expander Firmware 1.10 Rev23515 Description

Fixes:

New features
- DX32 support – Up to 3 DX32 modular I/O expanders can be connected to a dLive system.
- ME-1 names and stereo links – Channel names and stereo links are now communicated over the Monitor port to connected ME-U and / or ME-1 units.
- I/O Port card discovery and settings – Cards fitted to the I/O Ports are now listed on the relevant screens and their options displayed.

New DX Expanders may require a firmware update prior to use. Please connect the DX32 to a MixRack using port DX1 to automatically update the Expander firmware.

Improvements
- Added options to Play All, Repeat Single and Repeat All for USB playback.
- Added Copy/Paste/Reset and Listen capabilities to channel overview.
- Firmware updates now include updates to the touchscreen firmware for improved responsiveness.
- The function keys for the strip rotaries now toggle back to the previously selected function when deactivated.

Fixes
ID1380, 1382
Inserting a USB key for Playback / Record or scrolling through the list of audio files could sometimes generate error messages.
ID1639
Changing Input Stereo configuration could sometimes generate error messages and cause the touchscreen to become unresponsive. ID1559 In rare circumstances, configuring channel inserts could present a black screen.

Incorrect stereo image at the IEM output.

In rare circumstances, the PAFL meters would show erroneous activity. ID1521 Touching a Help popup and closing the Help would result in that area of the touchscreen becoming unresponsive.

Known issues

Main LR cannot be ganged when set to individual fader strips.

Disconnecting a screen from the Surface VGA port while dLive is running might cause the left touchscreen to stop working. Reboot the Surface to restore normal operation.

When firmware updating a DX32, all meters can freeze for 15-20 seconds and control may be lost during this time.

Installation steps:

1. Download the latest firmware and save the .zip file.
2. Remove any previous dLive firmware from your USB drive. To do this, look into the USB AllenHeath-dLive folder and delete the existing Firmware folder and also the Firmware.md5 file. Do not delete other files or folders.
3. Extract the .zip file to the root directory of your USB drive. Do not change the folder name or browse inside the Firmware folder as doing this may cause firmware corruption. Attempting to navigate or open files within this directory may cause your Operating System to leave behind small temporary system files which can invalidate your firmware.
4. Safely remove the USB drive from your computer.
5. Plug the USB drive into the dLive USB port, and touch Update in the Firmware page. The dLive will reboot to a ‘bootloader’ screen and if valid firmware is found on the USB drive then details of the current versions and versions found on the drive will be displayed.
6. Touch the Update button. Do not interrupt this process. Failure to complete the transfer may result in firmware corruption. Make sure the mains power and connecting cables are reliable and that the system will not be disturbed or switched off during the update.
7. When the firmware has been successfully installed, the system will automatically reboot.
8. Once the system is fully booted, recall a Template Show or User Show to restore your settings.

About Device Firmware:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.
