LILIN LR2122 IP Camera Firmware 1.4.58 Description

Fixes:

- Reduced false motion alarm when IR-cut get switched.
- Added bad pixel correction log.
- Improved IPD2220, IPD6220, and LD2222 low light quality.
- Improved I frame flicking issue for both Pro and L series.
- Improved video quality
- Disabled 3DNR at default.
- Disable UPnP at default.
- Updated ActiveX to 1.0.50.130 version.
- Updated JavaApplet for expired issue.
- Added watch dog reboot feature.
- Added NIC for preventing network locking.

Update firmware from web interface

1. Login into the IP Camera via IE.
2. Click on Configure->System->Firmware Update
3. Click on "Browse" button to locate the firmware file, flasham32.bin.
4. Click on "OK" button.
5. Wait the web interface to be reloaded again.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO UPGRADE THE LATEST FIRMWARE. HOWEVER, THE LATEST FIRMWARE CAN IMPROVE THE DEVICE's SYSTEM PERFORMANCE. THERE ARE ALSO RISKS FOR UPGRADING THE NEW FIRMWARE INCLUDING POWER FAILURE, LOW BANDWIDTH, or FLSAH DISK BROKEN.
THE RESULT MAY REQUIRE RETURNING the DVR BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL PROVIDER FOR REPAIRING.

Updating from OS 1.0 and OS 1.1 to OS 1.4 can take approximately 10 minutes. It is not recommended to update from OS 1.0 and OS 1.1 to OS 1.4 unless absolutely necessary. A device may fail the firmware update process requiring it to be returned to your original provider for repair. It is highly recommended to update within the same OS version only.

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your network camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty, or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.

As for the installation method, the steps vary depending on the model you own, but basically, you must connect your camera via an Ethernet cable (username and password required), and use the downloadable file in the Firmware Update section to upgrade your device. Make sure you do not interrupt the installation process.

However, make sure you carefully read and understand the installation steps so that you don’t end up with a broken device. This process isn’t intended to be destructive, but still, it’s best to save all configurations before applying a different firmware.
