Hikvision DS-2CD63XXF-I Network Camera Firmware 5.3.5 Description

This package provides the necessary installation files of Hikvision DS-2CD63XXF-I Network Camera Firmware 5.3.5.

New features:

- Modify the “Fisheye or 4PTZ” mode to two modes, namely “Fisheye” (Only supports one fisheye channel with main stream and sub stream) and “4PTZ” (Only 4 PTZ channels);
- Fisheye camera supports hardware and software dewarpping simultaneously. The default mode in web component is software dewarpping. Three mount types (Ceiling, Wall, Table) can be chosen in the live view interface.
- We can configure heat map of fisheye camera in web component and baseline iVMS-4200 software. The Heat-map data can be stored in Micro SD card or NAS, storage server, NVR, from which Excel file can be exported.
- Smart IR function is newly added, which can prevent over-exposure.
- IR light can be enabled or disabled.
- Multiple modes in software dewarpping: Different display modes and mount types are shown with different icons.
- We can capture one picture for every single window when viewing the multi-screen in software dewarpping.

Optimization:

- The icons of PTZ on the fisheye are shown as polygons with different colors, which are in corresponding with different PTZ channels.
- Increase the resolution of PTZ in software and hardware dewarpping.
- Optimize the UI interface. Adopt the format of graphical + suspended characters to clarify different mount types and display modes.

Important notice:

- When upgrading DS-2CD6332 and DS-2CD6362 from V5.0.9 to V5.3.5, it needs to be upgraded to an interim version first. Old version of DS-2CD63C2 can be directly upgraded to V5.3.5.
- Switching from hardware dewarpping to software dewarpping is not supportable only when the current display mode does not contain fisheye channel (Shown as icons in red box).

Installation steps:

1. Download the zip file . Once you have downloaded the file unzip it using your preferred unzipping tool and save the file to a sensible place.
2. Log into your camera.
3. Go to Configuration>System>Maintenance.
4. At the bottom of the Maintenanace page, under the ‘Remote Upgrade’ make sure that ‘firmware’ is selected from the drop down list. Now click browse and select the upgrade that you have saved. Once selected, click ‘upgrade’.
5. Once you start the upgrade you will be prompted that your device will reboot; click [OK]. The camera will now begin upgrading.
6. Once the camera has updated go to System>Device information and make sure the latest firmware has been installed.

About Network Camera Firmware Update:

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your network camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty, or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.

Changing the camera’s firmware must be performed when the new release resolves an issue that your device has encountered or adds a new feature (or enhances an existing one) that could prove useful to you.

As for the installation method, the steps vary depending on the model you own, but basically, you must connect your camera via an Ethernet cable (username and password required), and use the downloadable file in the Firmware Update section to upgrade your device. Make sure you do not interrupt the installation process.

However, make sure you carefully read and understand the installation steps so that you don’t end up with a broken device. This process isn’t intended to be destructive, but still, it’s best to save all configurations before applying a different firmware.

That being said, if you consider that this firmware improves your device in any way, then hit the download button and get the desired version; if not, check our website as often as possible so that you don’t miss the update that will boost your camera’s performance.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
