Boxee TV Firmware 2.1.0.7781 Description

New features & Enhancements:

- Scheduling & managing recordings on TV interface (Antenna signals only. ClearQAM not supported).
- DLNA - play files from computers, devices and NAS drives on your local network via the File Browser app.
- Digital Media Renderer (DMR) - send video/music/pictures from your Android / IOS device to Boxee TV via DLNA .
- Traditional TV guide, accessible by selecting top “TV” button on the home screen.
- Resume playback from previous location for recordings.
- Notifications: Channel changed to start a recording
- Notifications: Scheduled recording coming up
- “Watched” automatically updates if a recording is viewed to the end
- Support 3d titles within the Vudu app.t
- When the device turns off HDMI, the light on the device becomes dim.
- The Quick View tray now recycles when hitting LEFT/RIGHT while watching Live TV (IE, there’s no “edge” so the first channel and last channel are next to each other)

Bug Fixes:

Live TV & Recordings:
- Boxee TV allows tuning into a third channel while both tuners are recording.
- Cannot tune into a channel that has a weak signal.
- Live TV channel switching using Up & Down keys is not working when the OSD is open.
- Filter out channels with no video/audio when connected via QAM.
- Recorded movies are missing metadata title and description.
- Live TV quick navigation (clicking left and right) should be cyclical.
- Live TV quick navigation doesn't update thumbnails, only show info.
- Audio is missing for 5 seconds after "weak signal" indication on a recorded show.
- Some recorded shows buffer when played on Boxee TV.
- Channels with no program data are displayed first on the channel guide.
- Boxee TV tunes in to a recording channel, even if "Do not tune" is selected prior to record start.

Playback:

- Seeking forward to the end of a music file results with "something went wrong there" error message.
- Opening a photo via file manager and then returning to the Home screen results in a row in the UI disappearing
- Loading animation is missing when loading a video
- OSD shows incorrect time/duration for recorded show
- After scan client says it has the wrong location and asks the user to re-scan even though zipcode was correct.
- Cannot skip forward/back while a recorded show is paused.

Apps:

- OSD shows incorrect time/duration on MLB live games.
- “Loading...” text appears frequently when playing videos via the YouTube app.
- Hitting back/home immediately after selecting an app results makes the device freeze at the app splash screen. Hard reboot is required.

General:

- Configuring time zone to be set automatically fails after setting it manually.
- Boxee TV does not resume the connection to the screen after being left idle, though the device is still active.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
