New Features

- Changed out Photos and Music UI sections to include thumbnails
- Added "Update" button in the media library settings page. It will add new content, remove deleted files, and use/update local poster art and NFO files.
- Added "Remove from PopBox" feature in the edit options for each video.
- Added file list for movies that have multiple files (example Part 1, Part 2, etc).
- Added 3 tiers to TV shows: 1) Show 2) Season 3) Episode List
- Updated Generic Cover Art for unknown items
- Added "recently added" section; lists the last 48 items added to the database.
- Changed "recent" to "recently played" to remove confusion around the addition listed above.
- Changed the no content available prompt to launch the Add Media Wizard if selected.
- Added a resume playback prompt for files that have a bookmark. Will allow you to start over or resume from bookmark.
- In video files with no chapters, pressing skip jumps forward in intervals of 10%
- After typing credentials in the usb|network section, a prompt will come up asking if you want to save them.
- Added support for Forced PGS subtitles.
- Add ability to skip internect connection setup in the first time setup wizard.
- Added the ability to play MK3D files, and MKV, AVI, mp4, m2ts files that are in Side-by-Side or Top-and-Bottom format on 3D televisions. (note: Files that don't adhere to the MK3D standards will require .3DSBS or .3DTAB to be added to the filename just before the extension. Example: Avatar.3DSBS.mkv. *Needs to be in caps*)
- PCM Audio setting has been added to audio/video settings page. Allow passthrough of 5.1 audio in PCM format.
- Pressing Page Up and Page Down gives you a page counter that you can scroll through. Once you let go, the UI jumps to that page.

Latest Bugs Fixed

- TV Episode information is pulled in the info bar (some TV episode information will not be pulled from IMDB due to licensing issues.)
- Pressing OK on an TV show in genre takes you to the episode list for that season.
- TV episodes that are Episode 0 (like Doctor Who Christmas specials) now pull info from IMDB (if IMDB has labeled them correctly).
- Manually entering an SSID in the Wi-Fi setup now works.
- If you SSID has symbols in it, the PopBox will now connect to it via Wi-Fi.
- Fixed labels under the TV Episode not pulling information from the database.
- Centered the selection border around the poster art.
- Can play music and slideshows at the same time (need to start music in the music section then start slideshow in the photos area).
- Fixed a typo in the Tech Support phone number on the on-screen help.
- Can play FLAC files in a playlist.
- Pressing play on a photo in the usb|network section now starts a slideshow.
- PopBox now detects if you have a wi-fi adapter when trying to do the wi-fi setup.

Installation Instructions via Internet

- Press the Home button, go to the Settings menu and scroll down to the Firmware Version page.
- Select the "check for updates" option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- The PopBox will restart after the firmware is updated.

Installation Instructions via USB

- Extract the firmware file to the ROOT directory of a USB drive.
- Rename it to "popbox-update.bin" without quotes. (You can leave the .bin portion off if you did not see it in the original filename.)
- Plug the USB drive into the PopBox Media Player.
- Press the Home button, go to the Settings menu and scroll down to the Firmware Version page.
- Select the "update from USB" option.
- Select the USB drive from the list.
- Select the OK button and the box will update the firmware.

Known Bugs

- Info bar, audio/subtitle overlay and other UI elements during playback are not in 3D.
- The audio selection does not always sync up between the audio/subtitle overlay and the BD lite UI when playing a Blu-ray.
- Time offset in the audio/subtitle overlay does not affect Blu-ray subs - Needs to be grayed out.
- Cannot play multiple music files over uPnP
- With the BD Lite UI up, pressing info brings up the popbox info bar and does not close the BD Lite UI.
- Navigating (left and right arrows) in the BD Lite UI or AVCHD menus shows a seek overlay in the top right but does not affect playback.
- Labels under the music and photos sections don't always display information from the databse.
- When a video from a uPnP source fails to play, no error message is displayed.
- FLV files are not currently supported.
- Resume playback does not always work on BD images.
- Issues with TrueHD (Issue with the Sigma SDK. Awaiting a patch.).
- When navigating up from the second level to the first level in a 3 tier are (TV shows or music artists) the screen flashes to black before displaying the top level.
- Need to limit music control with the trickplay buttons to only occur when the music player is open.
- Single File VOB playback has multiple issues. Occurs on all Syabas made players and is being worked on.
- Does not support folder credentials for shares.
- Sometimes the scanner does not automatically start after running through the setup wizard.
- Cover art with an & or . in the filename does not show up in the info panel.
- The edit button is not available if you press info on a title in the "recently added" or "recently played" section.
