Hasselblad H3DII-50 Digital Back Firmware R361 Description

This package contains firmware version R361.CIM for the listed products: H4D-40, H4D-50, H4D-50MS, H3DII-50, H3DII-50MS, H4D-200MS & CFV50. Version R361 is a feature and bug fix release of version R359 and contains various improvements and fixes.

Fixes:

- Support for Sandisk 128GB CF cards
- 128 second exposure time enabled on 50mp sensor products (CFV-50 currently not included)
- H4D-200MS camera support
- "Empty batch" unintentionally displayed bug fixed
- A problem with double exposure on some mechanical shutters in flash sync mode fixed
- Power down not working bug fixed. New minimum setting at 5 min and default setting at 30 min.
- Live Video stability improved

Installation steps:

1. Unzip the downloaded file.
2. Make sure your camera is turned on.
3. Connect your complete camera, including the capture unit, lens and viewfinder to Phocus.
4. Go to "File" and then "Update Firmware" and locate the desired firmware package (.cim) on your computer, and click "Update".
5. Follow the instructions provided from the software carefully! Do not switch off the camera during the update process, unless specifically requested by the Phocus software. 6. When the update has been finalized, please restart your camera and check that the firmware has been successfully updated.

Important notice:

- Manual updating of firmware is available in the Phocus software, from version 1.1 Mac and 1.0.2 Windows.
- Please note that when attaching an imagebank II, which has been formatted in a previous firmware, you will be prompted to format the imagebank. This is due to a new cluster size and formatting routine. If you are not ready to delete all images on the Imagebank II do NOT perform the formatting procedure or upgrade to R361.

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device’s overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.

On the other hand, downgrading the camera’s firmware can recover its functionality in the unlikely event the currently installed version is faulty or the device’s performance dropped after an upgrade. However, bear in mind that applying an earlier build might not always be possible.

However, each device has various ways to enter the update mode and particular steps that should be taken for a successful upgrade, therefore make sure you read the product’s installation guide.
