- Removed the PoE settings for units that do not support PoE.

Limitations and Known Issues:

- Only members of default VLAN (VLAN ID of 1) can manage the switch.

- There is a problem that entry with non-alphanumeric characters (eg. ~!@#$%^&<>) can be created, but can not be deleted from the following tables: MAC ACL, SNMP Community configuration and Trap configuration. Workaround: Please do not create entries with non-alphanumeric characters when defining the name for MAC ACL, SNMP community string, and SNMP Trap Filter.
- Units that do not support PoE show up in the in PoE Configuration page. Workaround: Please ignore the unit without PoE.
- When using Mozilla Firebox, the VLAN name does not get displayed correctly in the Multicast Group configuration table under Switching > Multicast > Advanced page. Workaround: This does not prevent you from creating the multicast group, as long as the correct VLAN ID is selected.
- The feature to determine the cable length in the Cable Test table does not work. Workaround: None. It will be fixed in the next FW release.
- In a stack with mixed model types, the switch name displayed on the GUI might be different before and after you’ve have login to the device. For example, it might show FS728TS at the login page. But, after entering the correct password, it will always show model name of the master unit. Workaround: None. It will be fixed in the next FW release.
- Refreshing the page (Ctrl+F5) will always bring you back to the first page, which is the System Information page. Workaround: Please manually navigate to the desired page again.

About Switch Firmware:

Given the large variety of models and different methods for upgrading the switch, if you wish to apply this package, we recommend that you read and understand the installation steps before you install a new firmware, even if you are a power user.

Usually the update procedure isn't much of a hassle as manufacturers try to make it as simple as possible; however, there are cases that are exceptions to this rule. First off, go to the system information page of the switch to check that the currently installed version isn't either newer or matching this release.

Applying a new firmware can decrease the security vulnerabilities, enhance overall performance and compatibility, improve various power management functions, resolve different errors, and add support for newly developed technologies and protocols.

It is recommended that you perform this step in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit, and that you don't interrupt the upgrade in any way, because this might cause the switch to malfunction.

That being said, click the download button, get and apply the new version, and check back with our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
