OCZ Toolbox Firmware Updater 3.02.14 / Agility 4 SSD Firmware 1.5 Description

WARNING:

This is NOT a Destructive Flash for firmware version 1.4 and newer. This is a Destructive Flash for firmware version 1.3 & 1.4RC, back up all data on SSD. Proceeding with this update will result in complete loss of data on the SSD.

WARNING:

This is a two step firmware update process for firmware older than 1.4.1.2. Otherwise it is one step process.
1. Run OCZ Toolbox. Toolbox will update firmware to 1.4.1.2 first.
2. Shutdown and restart the system.
3. Run OCZ Toolbox again, Toolbox will now update firmware to latest firmware revision. This completes the firmware update.

OCZ Toolbox version 3.02.14

- Added feature to allow firmware update on Everest2 controllers primary drive
- Modified warning messages for 2 step firmware update process on Vertex4 and Agility4 drives

Known Issues:

- Firmware update feature prohibited on primary drives with 1500, 2000, and Everest1 controllers
- BIOS update feature is prohibited on primary drives

Improvements since version 1.4.1.3:

Enhancements:

• Optimized idle garbage collection algorithms to extend the benefits of performance mode by enabling the feature across a greater percentage of the drive
• Improved HBA / RAID card compatibility
• Further improved compatibility with desktop and mobile ATA security features

Fixes:

• Corrected a corner case issue where the ‘Remaining Life’ SMART attribute could be reported incorrectly

Note:

After updating to v1.5, you cannot revert back to v1.4.1.3

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
