NETGEAR SRX5308 Firewall Firmware 4.2.0-22 Description

Backward Compatibility Issues:

- Upgrade from 3.x.x firmware or earlier will require a factory reset operation. And cannot restore the previous version config file.

New Features and Enhancements:

- IPv6 functionality: except IPv6 for MultiWAN and SSL VPN port forwarding are not supported.
- Baseline management (NMS200) support: except IPv6 MIB not supported.
- CLI support.

Known Issues and limitations:

- IGMP snooping functionality is not working.
- Only display one RADVD prefix delegation to advertise.
- Bandwidth functionality is not working over VPN GW-GW tunnel.
- No IPV6 IPSec throughput when use TCP/1518 frame packet.
- [IPv6]Unable to establish the IPV6 manual tunnel with traffic selector as ANY/ANY.
- Not able to run multicast traffic over l2tp.
- Not able to do netbios over l2tp tunnel.
- [IPv6]Displaying the message as address not found instead of 'Blocked from this Browser' for IPv6 policy 'Deny Login From Defined Browsers'.
- UDP traffic with size more than 1452 is not running over ipv6 sslvpn tunnel.
- Unable to configure IPSec VPN policies using WAN ip aliases.
- Logs are not coming in view logs page for added scheduled based ipv6 firewall rule.
- Unable to send the logs over vpn tunnel.
- Traffic is not following wan upload or down load(higher one of them )speeds if the upload and down load speeds having large difference.
- [CLI]Multiple firewall rules are getting added when we give "save" command for multiple times in CLI.
- [CLI]Device not showing the connection status of the IPv4 and IPV6 ipsec policy in cli until we open the connection status page in GUI.
- [CLI]Firewall logs table is not updating properly for enabling and disabling logs through cli.
- Sync time failed from NTP server over VPN tunnel.
- When establish sslvpn ipv6 tunnel,then sslvpn ipv4 tunnel also successfully established.
- [IPv6] static route which interface is WAN can't be recorded IPv6 route table on GUI only.
- Do not record system log about "change of time by NTP".
- Can not manage DUT from lan host when lan traffic reach the limit.
- Start Date/Time is wrong in Traffic Meter page and always using GMT zone.
- The wan upload/download connection speed are displayed incorrectly on detailed status page.
- Log always does not work for DMZ-WAN inbound block rules under NAT mode.
- No bandwidth limit log in view logs.
- [CLI] firewall rules for wan-lan does not have single ip selection for wan destination.
- [CLI] System snmp trap configure command does not have option to select snmp v1, v2 or v3.
- [CLI] Show commands do not work for system snmp trap, system time setup, sysinfo, system logs.
- [CLI] Show commands do not work for vpn ipsec and sslvpn logs.
- [CLI] Show wan ipv4 setup does not work if no secondary DNS server configured.
- L2TP/PPTP tunnel only could be established through the primary address.
- Only display one RADVD prefix delegation to advertise.
- [IPv6]Customized VLAN do not support IPv6.
- FTP client passive mode cannot open data connection while inbound rule using "translate to port number".
- [IPv6]QoS priority is not supported for IPv6.
- Wan traffic meter show the wrong statistics data in load balancing or auto rollover mode.

  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
