AR-3000 System Update Procedure

Tools Needed:

1. AR-3000 Version Upgrade Files
2. AR-3000
3. MIDI Sequencer (must be able to play Standard MIDI Files)
4. MIDI Cable
5. MIDI Interface (If using computer to transfer SMFs)

Update Procedure:

1. Connect the MIDI OUT port of your sequencer / MIDI interface to the MIDI IN port of the AR-3000.
2. Hold the ENTER button and turn the power on. "MIDI or CARD" will be displayed.
3. Press PLAY and select updating via MIDI. "Send New Program Data" should be displayed.
4. Load song "_00001.mid" into your sequencer and begin playback.
5. Repeat this procedure for songs "_00002.mid" thru "_000032.mid."
6. After song "_000032.mid" has finished playing back, the new system version will be displayed.
7. Press the ENTER button. "NOW WRITING" will be displayed, indicating that the update is in process.
8. When the upgrade procedure is finished, the checksum will be displayed.
9. Turn the AR-3000's power off and then on again to complete the update procedure.
