Cowon iAUDIO U5 Player Firmware 1.17 Description

Release Notes:

- Improved Features & Fixed Bugs
- You won't lose any files saved in the player by upgrading this firmware. However, we recommend you back up your data on the computer just in case.
- If you install a firmware v.1.XX, iAUDIO U5 can support WMDRM 10 and Music library.
If you would like to play OGG and FLAC files on iAUDIO U5, please install a firmware v.3.XX.
- Fixed error which was occurred while playing some unusual tag files.
Improved radio scheduled recording hours which wasn’t long enough.

Installation steps:

- Download the firmware to your PC and unzip it. You will get U5.bin and U5_font.bin files.
- Connect iAUDIO U5 to the PC by using an USB cable.-  
- If iAUDIO U5 is recognized as a removable disk, please paste U5.bin and U5_font.bin files to the root folder (top folder in iAUDIO U5) in iAUDIO U5. 
- After copy is finished, please disconnect iAUDIO U5 form the PC and turn on the unit.
- iAUDIO U5 will automatically start firmware upgrade. After it is complete, it powers off.
- Now turn on iAUDIO U5. The upgraded firmware version will display on the first screen.
If the new firmware version number is the same, firmware upgrade is completed. 
The upgraded firmware version is indicated in information under Settings menu.
