This package provides the necessary installation files of Extron MGP 464 Pro Multi-Window Processor Firmware version 1.07.

Fixes:

- Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – Incorrect window sizes after recalling a window preset saved with the MGP output resolution set to 2048x1080 – Recalling a window preset that was saved with the MGP output resolution set to 2048x1080 would recall incorrect window sizes, resulting in a different layout than expected. This issue has been resolved.
- Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – Visual artifacts appear in 2048x1080 background images when recalled – Recalling a 2048x1080 background image would result in visual artifacts in the image. This issue has been resolved.
- Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – Fixed the “View last recalled preset” SIS command – The “View last recalled preset” SIS command did not function. This issue has been resolved.
- Improved Feature (originated in v1.00) – Removed 0 padding from communication settings – In the LCD menu, 0 padding has been removed for the IP address, the gateway address, and the subnet mask to avoid confusion.

Installation steps:

1. Download the firmware file.
2. On the MGP Pro Configuration tab, select Firmware Upgrade from the sidebar menu to display the Firmware Upgrade page.
3. Click Browse to open the Choose File to Upload (or Choose File) window and locate the firmware file on your computer or server. The file extension must be .S19 .
4. Open the firmware file. Its name appears below the Current Firmware Version on the Firmware Upgrade page.
5. Click the Upload button on the Firmware Upgrade page to start the firmware update process. While the firmware is being uploaded, the Upload button changes to Uploading... and the LCD window on the MGP Pro displays first Firmware Upload Please Wait!!! , then Firmware Reboot Please Wait!!!

Important notice:

- Valid firmware files must have the file extension .S19. A file with any other extension is not a firmware upgrade for this device and could cause the device to stop functioning.
- While the firmware is uploading and rebooting, do not press any front panel buttons or make any selections on the web pages. When the uploading process is complete, the Uploading... button on the screen changes back to Upload.

About Multi-Window Processor Firmware:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.

On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop. However, bear in mind that applying an older firmware isn’t recommended and might not always be possible.

When it comes to the update steps, due to the large variety of devices and numerous ways for installing a new firmware, it is recommended that you carefully read and understand the upgrade steps, and consider applying a different firmware only when you have familiarized yourself with the update method.

As the installation process is most of the times quite risky, this step should be taken by users that have the ability to successfully complete the update; regular users may initiate it at their own risk. Moreover, it’s best that this task be performed in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit.

Therefore, if you consider applying this release, hit the download button, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and update the device’s firmware. Also make sure you constantly check with our website to ensure that you don’t miss a single new release.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
