Thecus N4520 NAS Server Firmware 6.1.12 Description

New Features/Changes:

- Update NUT to 2.7.2 for Omron UPS support.
- Support multiple RAID for 2-bays NAS.
- Change NAS Application to Official NAS Application

Bug Fixes:

- Update OpenSSL to 1.0.0m for SSL/TLS MITM vulnerability (CVE-2014-0224).
- Fix email notification invalid in some case
- Fix user quotas invalid in some case.

Important Notes:

- This process could migrate current running OS6 system to OS6.1-12 and keep user data, but all of add-on app/module need re-install, and all of user password need re-assign again.

Installation Steps:

- Prepare an 8GB or above USB drive.
- Download ZIP archive.
- UNZIP to 8G or above USB drive (root folder).
- Login OS6.0 ADMIN WEB UI → Upper left corner GEAR BOX → Control panel → File Sharing/Privilege → User Group Backup → Download → usergroup.bin
- Power NAS off & eject HDD.
- Plug USB into NAS and power NAS up, wait for 7~15 min and system would power off automatically.
- Plug HDD into NAS and power NAS up.
- Search NAS via intelligent NAS but don’t need to initial, just search the IP address and access NAS ADMIN WEB UI.
- Login OS6.0 ADMIN WEB UI → Upper left corner GEAR BOX → Control panel → File Sharing/Privilege → User Group Backup → Upload → usergroup.bin and reboot NAS.
- Login OS6.0 ADMIN WEB UI → Upper left corner GEAR BOX → Control panel → File Sharing/Privilege → Local User Configuration → re-assign user password.




  It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
